How Wooden Roses are Made

The wooden roses are handmade so each rose will be unique.  The petals are made from fine shavings of birch wood which are glued to a polystrene bud to create the rose bud shape.  The stem is a wire covered in floristry paper tape, the wire can be cut or bent if required.  The roses are sprayed and come in many colours, so it will be easy to match with your colour scheme, whether it is for your wedding or an arrangement for your home.  The calyx of the rose is made from fiber and is glued to the base of the rose bud.  The size of the wooden rose is approximately 30cm (12") in length the bud is approximately 5cm (2") and the stem being approximately 26cm (10").
Wooden Roses can be used for so many occasions, have them for your wedding instead of fresh, a gift for a birthday, new home, new baby, mother's day, valentine's day or just treat yourself, a great centre piece for a coffee table or dining table, the list is endless.  An everlasting rose with little care will last a life time.
Do not place the wooden roses in direct sunlight as this can cause the colour to fade, avoid extreme hot or cold temperatures.  To keep your roses dust free use a hairdryer on a low heat setting to blow away any dust that may have collected on the rose.  Do not immerse in water and keep away from naked flames.
